It is located next to Suvarnavathi reservoir on the Chamarajanagar and Satyamangala National Highway. This reservoir provides water to Chamarajanagar, Yelandur, Kollegal taluks.
This reservoir belongs to the Cauvery Irrigation Department and has a spacious park and a beautiful atmosphere.
It is 16 km. away from Chamarajanagar and is a good tourist spot for a picnic.
