Purnaiah surved as the Diwan of the Mysore State. After the retirement of Diwan Purnaiah, Mummadi Krishnaraja Odeyar gifted Yalandur and the Bungalow as a gift in 1807 AD. This Bungalow, built in a unique style, is a monument. Currently, the State Archaeological Heritage Department is renovating this Bungalow and developing it into a museum that provides information about the life history of Diwan Purnaiah, his reign, and the historical facts of the district. It is located in Yalandur town.
